This is 2018 Waukee High School senior Sydney. I was lucky to photograph her brother’s senior pictures a few years ago and her family pictures a year ago…so I have had the pleasure of hanging out with this amazing family a lot and again for Sydney’s senior session. This is 2017 Harlan Community High School senior Ashley that is a dancer, so we wanted to incorporate her love for dancing in her session. Ashley was a joy to photograph she was up for all of my crazy ideas and was so comfortable in front of the camera. Here is the Boatwright family that I have photographed a few times now, and can not tell you how much I love hanging out with them. They wanted to go with a fun edgy urban style so I came up with a few new spots for them, thinking we might have nailed this one. Love how these turned out for them!
This is Hannah who is an Ankeny high school 2016 senior, who was a gem to work with. She was so easy going and up for all of my crazy ideas…such as making her change into her basketball uniform in a dirty alley because I found the perfect spot and we were quite aways from the cars and any place to change…she was a trooper and did not blink an eye. I loved working with her and her family, was lucky to photograph her family this fall for family picture too. Thank you Hannah for being such a great sport, and good luck in the future!
This is Ellie who is not only gorgeous and so sweet, but also extremely photogenic. Ellie is a 2016 high school senior from Perry. We hit lots of locations and she won the prize for the most images I have taken so far during a high school senior session..lets just say I filled up a 32 gb photo card (and then 1/2 of the next card) in three hours..that is a heck of a lot of images. Two words for this session…total BLAST! Alex has modeled in the past and she was so easy to direct and the images that came from this session were outstanding. I am going to keep my words short and sweet because I want the images to speak for themselves. Here is high school senior Erica who was such blast to photograph…she wanted pictures in the water and on a dock and sine I have not done this style of senior session yet I was all for it. I also have to say her mom and her were such troopers because only thirty minutes before their session my daughter had fallen on a huge rock and cut her leg open wide enough to see the bone. Well long story short I was a bit late for the shoot and my phone was going off the whole session with questions from my husband that sat with my daughter while she got stitches. Thankfully these two were great about me answering texts and calls (which I never turn my phone on during a session) during their session and so I felt bad, but so thankfully to have such understanding clients. Thank you Erica for be such a great client, not only are you beautiful but you are also kind and understanding…that my dear will take you far in life! Good luck this year and in the future!
Gorgeous Miss Taylor was beyond easy to work with her smile that is stunning and contagious (seriously couldn’t help but smile when you are around this girl). We had quite the session from horses almost stepping on us, to grasshoppers swarming us, then on to disturbing baby turkey vultures (now that was a first), then to almost sliding down a rock hill, and finally to an amazing sunset that we chased until we got the perfect shot. Thank you Taylor for going with all of my crazy ideas, have a wonderful senior year and good luck with your future (I am sure it will be bright because you my dear already shine).
